about

This song is about my uncle Glen Cotter who passed away in october a few years ago. He was a very close friend of mine and was a defenseman for the Toronto Argonauts. Hence the echos and references to Football. I hope you enjoy this track as it is a tribute for my uncle.

lyrics

Silent Guitars sit in a room
And now it's getting colder
A missing smile, A family of two
Lie awake with no laughter
Foot ball games were put on mute
But I can still hear the
Crowd cheering just for you
So go ahead and see it through

(Chorus)
Who ever said Hero's don't ever go away?
To Loose Someone isn't quite so easy
So Stand Strong, Don't Give Up Now
You got a friend right here (Right here)
I'll hold your hand along the way
I'll take away your fear

Wind Blows outside a hollow house
But no one is listening
A torn up picture of friend
That some how's gone missing

(Chorus)
Who ever said Hero's don't ever go away?
To Loose Someone isn't quite so easy
So Stand Strong, Don't Give Up Now
You got a friend right here (Right here)
I'll hold your hand along the way
I'll take away your fear

(Bridge)
(Vocal Solo + Guitar Solo)

(Ending)
There goes my hero (hero)
There goes my hero (hero)
There goes my hero (hero)
There goes my hero (hero)
